92nd Street Y Lecture Series at Kittay House Senior Apartments

The 92Street Y comes to Kittay House via live broadcasts made possible by The Joan Jacobson 92nd Street Y Satellite Program Fund

Live broadcasts of lectures held at Manhattan’s 92nd Street Y are available to residents, families, friends, and members of the Kittay House Senior Housing community thanks to the generous support of Joan Jacobson of New York, a long-time supporter of the Jewish Home Lifecare.

Through this special arrangement, Kittay tenants experience these intellectually and culturally stimulating programs without having to leave home. These lectures are also broadcast on Jewish Home Lifecare’s closed-circuit television station, Channel 40.  Residents and visitors can enjoy the programs on in-room televisions and in common areas.  Not only can they enjoy this programming in comfort, they can even have their questions personally answered by the speakers.

A wide range of interactive lectures are broadcast live via satellite to Kittay House.  Some recent programs have included:

  • Andy Borowitz on The Funniest American Writers
  • Howard Gardner and David Brooks on Truth, Beauty, and Goodness
  • The Way Forward with Arianna Huffington and Joseph E. Stiglitz
  • Tzipi Livni, former Foreign Minister of Israel, currently the first woman to serve as leader of the Opposition Party.

Live broadcast from the 92Street Y are listed on the activities calendar.  These programs are free and open to Kittay House tenants, family, friends, and the community.
